Abdominoplasty

In some cases abdominal-wall tightening and liposuction can be done at the same time. A diet beforehand can be helpful and improve the result clearly.

A puckering or sagging belly occurs often after weight-reduction or abdominal wall weakening (e.g. pregnancy) and especially during the summer months an aesthetic disturbing factor and may influence self-confidence. In this case it is reasonable and makes sense to have an abdominal wall tightening.

The operation is done under general anaesthetic. Above the pubic hairline a "w-form” incision is made, the abdominal skin above the muscle is detached and tightening if need be as for as the ribcage, surplus skin is removed and a weak abdominal muscle additionally tightened with sutures.

After the operation bedrest is absolutely necessary with slightly angled legs to avoid tension on the sutures. Getting up for the first time to much tension on the abdominal wall is to be avoided.

Breast reduction

  

Women with large breasts often suffer psychological and physical stress and backache through too great a strain on the spine. Also a limp breast may be felt as a blemish. An operative breast reduction and/ or tightening relieves pain. You feel well and sure with a well shaped solid breast. After measuring the breast and marking the lines of incisions the operation is performed under general anaesthetic (GA). Part of the skin and fatty subcutaneous and breast tissue is removed . The nipple lifted and assured that the sensibility is maintained. The scars run around the nipple then downwards into the breast folds and transverse under the breasts.

In younger women undergoing a lifting it is taken care that breastfeeding will be preserved. Considerable complications are seldom. Please take in account a hospital stay of 2-3 days. After the operation you should wear a supporting bra for a while and avoid intensive sun and crème the cars.

Breast enlargement

 

Many women don’t feel "all woman” because of small breasts. A compatible tissue implant is the permanent answer. The result is immediately visible. A feeling of self-confidence is raised through a newly won attractively. The operation generally is performed under general anaesthetic. A small incision is made either in the armpit or around the nipple or underneath the breast, where the implant is placed in front or behind the breast muscle. Breastfeeding usually remains preserved.

A hospital stay of 1-2 days is recommended. After 1 week the fine sutures are removed. For about 4 weeks a supporting brassiere has to be worm and physical strain to be avoided, then you can move freely.

At the initial examination and consultation you are informed in detail of potential risks.

Scientifically it has been proved that there is no connection (or relation) between silicon implants and connective tissue diseases or breast cancer. You may have a breast screening. We advise a yearly check up and if need be a change of implant in time. When the small incision are healed nobody without the knowledge of the operation will feel the implant.

Liposuction

 

For a permanent removal of fatty subcutaneous tissue on the chin, breast, hips, bottom, thighs, knees. Liposuction on chin, hips, thighs, knees or ankles are mostly done under local anaesthesia (LA). For more intensive liposuction we recommend a stand by anaesthesia or a general anaesthesia (GA). The tiny skin incisions are about 2-3 mm long and hidden in natural skin folds. E.g. for thighs liposuction bikini pants will cover the scars. Minor liposuctions are performed as outpatient under local anaesthetic (LA). More extensive liposuction requires 24 hrs bedrest. Individual fine sutures are removed after about 7 days. A compression bandage or wearing compression pants is absolutely necessary for 4 weeks. Haematoma (bruising) and swelling that may arise disappear completely after 2-3 weeks with help of physiotherapy. Physical strain should be avoided for 4-6 weeks.

chin correction

 

In the case of a small chin and a too large nose both should be operated at the same time.Only then a harmonic facial profile can be achieved.

A small underdeveloped chin may make the nose appear larger as she really is while a well formed chin emphasizes harmony in the facial contour. Chin enlargement with a sterile silicon cushion or a hydroxylapatit implant generally placed in situ from the mucous membrane inside the month, outer scars are not visible, sutures are self- dissolving. In the chin reduction operation the surplus bone generally is removed from inside the mouth. We advise a general anaesthetic with a short hospital stay of 1-2 days. After a chin correction a compression dressing is applied and strong chewing movements is to be avoided for a few days. Slight swelling and bruising are normal and soon disappears. The profile improvement is visible immediately.

Baggy Eyelids

Often ones look does not compose with ones feeling of age. A tires or sad facial expression can be the result of exposure to sun or life circumstances. Receding and baggy eyelids are mainly a result of weak elastic tissue and protruding fatty tissue. The upper and lower lid corrections are mainly done under (LA) local anaesthetic and as outpatient occasionally combined with lifting of the eye brows and forehead. The incisions follow the natural skin folds. Fine sutures are removed between 3-5 days without problems. Slight bruising and swelling are normal and disappear quickly. After the healing process the scars are almost invisible.

In the case of dropping eye brows and marked forehead lines the eyelid plastic op often is done combined with eye brow and forehead lifting. The incisions are in the hairline or directly above the eye browns. The slack muscles are lifted and surplus skin removed.

Nose correction

Numerous persons are not satisfied with their nose. Nothing forms personality more as their nose.

Able to work: Light work after 3 days, strenuous work after 2 weeks possible.
Eyeglasses can be worn after 1 month.
Hair warm wash after the 3rd day.
Sport: Without great effort after 3 weeks, with physical exercitation after 2 month (not before 3rd month)

Ear correction

About 1/3 of our patient are men.


Malposition and Malformation of the ears may lead to psychological stress. Today that has not to be taken for granted. In modern plastic surgery safe operating methods are available.



This operation we mostly do under local anaesthetic as outpatient. The line of incision for bat ear-operations generally is behind the ears. No scars are visible in front. Only in auricle reductions, earlobe corrections and building up plastic operations fine scars are visible. Post operation an elastic head bandage has to be worn for about 10 days then the sutures are removed. For 2-3 weeks following a circular head bandage should be worn at night.
